Hey all! If you follow my blog, you’ve possibly noticed two things. One, I haven’t posted in forever. Sorry about that. The other thing you may have noticed a while back is that I was learning how to dye using the Japense Shibori technique. Well, after a decent bit of practice, a long time finding a source of silk fabric, and a bit of testing with dyes, I’ve turned out my first squares that I’m really happy with.
The patterns might look a bit out there at first, but I think they really shine in a ‘foo’ fold.
I’ll be selling these guys on Etsy (more pictures there). I’ve only got these four up right now, but I will be adding more in the coming weeks. Don’t see the colors you like? Send me a message and I’ll see if I can dye something to your liking.
The squares are 17” x17”, and have hand-rolled edges. They are hand-dyed by yours truly using non-toxic dyes.
